Express Payments

How to make an Express Payment

You do not need to be a Paymate registered user to pay with your credit card via Paymate.  However, the seller must be a registered user with a valid bank account to receive a payment.

  • Simply click on the Paymate Express 'Pay Now' logo on the the seller’s website. Alternatively you can also select "pay for a purchase now" in the "buyers" tab on the Paymate website.
  • The payment screen will appear over a secure connection and you will be asked to fill in your personal information in order to complete the transaction. In the case you have selected "pay for a purchase now" in the buyer tab on the Paymate website, you will need to fill in information regarding your seller (which is not required if paying directly on the seller's website) provide as much information as you can in order to expedite the transaction.
  • Then enter your email address, personal and credit card details together with the payment amount.
  • Make sure to double-check the details of the payment and accept our terms of use before you click the ‘Submit Payment' button.

As is true in any business, there are certain parameters that must be met in order for a transaction to be completed.  One of those parameters is a requirement that the transaction is not originating from an unauthorised country.  There are two reasons for this; first the buyer may have acquired the credit card information fraudulently and is attempting to use the card from a country other than the card holders, second, this protects both parties from fraud when transactions originate from countries with a high incidence of fraudulent transactions.

Click here to see the List of Countries accepted by Paymate for credit card payments.

NOTE: If Paymate identifies the payment as risky, we may contact the buyer and seller for more information or simply turn down the transaction - this is for your own protection. We will also reject the transaction if your bank declines the payment.
