Prerequisites for US Merchants

Sellers domiciled in the USA will need to register with Paymate, and then apply for a US merchant card processing account. The merchant account is integrated with Paymate and allows payment to be directly funded to your checking/savings bank account.

US sellers must meet minimum conditions to receive PROVISIONAL APPROVAL online after you submit our Merchant Details form.

eBay Sellers:  MUST have a minimum of 10 feedbacks AS A  SELLER (not buyer) IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS and 98% positive feedback.

 

Website Sellers:  MUST have a valid website domain (not eBay, Amazon or other marketplace) that we can verify.

 

Please ensure your business is not one of our Unacceptable Business Categories.

After the application is submitted, if you meet the MINIMUM requirements above, we will respond immediately with a PROVISIONAL APPROVAL.  This means your account is active to receive payments.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  We will review your account when you first receive a payment.  Your business and personal information will be verified, a credit check may be made, and your website and/or eBay sales history will be reviewed.  In some cases, you may be asked for additional documentation to verify information provided on your application.At this time we may place restrictions on your service based on your risk profile, ask for a security deposit or decline your account and withdraw our services.  Paymate will not be liable for any fees, costs you may have incurred or lost sales as a result of these conditions or withdrawal of services.  We regret we cannot provide reasons or discuss our rationale for such suspension of your account.

Additional Information for account approval

The following are some pre-requisites to have available before you log into Paymate to complete your Merchant Details and submit your application.

  • Business Information:
    • business names (both the legal name and the name you are “Doing Business As” (DBA));
    • business address, business contact telephone number, fax number, e-mail address;
    • tax identification number (i.e., Employer Identification Number (EIN), or Social Security Number (SSN) if you are a sole proprietor), and
    • business type (e.g., sole proprietor, partnership, privately-held company).
  • Personal Information: Owner SSN and home address
  • Business Website URL and/or eBay Member ID: As part of the business verification process, it is critical that we know the sales channel(s) being used.
  • Additional Account Information: estimated monthly credit card sales, average order amount, etc.
  • Checking Account Information: account number and 9-digit routing number (at the bottom left of your check)
  • Non-eBay sellers must provide a valid website address for their business.

  • eBay sellers must have a Feedback Count (AS AS SELLER ) of at least 10 in the last 6 months, with a Positive Feedback Rating of at least 98%.

  • eBay sellers must validate their Member ID by linking it to Paymate
