No, our gateway plugs into most major banks in the USA, Australiia and New Zealand, so in most cases you can retain your current banking relationship an merchant account.

  • Will I need to spend a lot of time and money to integrate into Paymate Sentinel?

No.  The Paymate Sentinel Application Programming Interface (API) and Software Development Kit (SDK) will enable your developer to implement and test the interface in days.  We have also released a Paymate Sentinel module for the popular OS Commerce ecommerce platform.

  • How much will it cost to use Paymate Sentinel?

You will need to register or upgrade to a Paymate eBusiness Account where available.   There is a set up fee to assist in the integration of Paymate Sentinel, as follows:

USA:  USD 400.00      AUSTRALIA:  AUD 550.00 including GST      NEW ZEALAND:  NZD 600.00

If you use Sentinel with your Paymate Account, you will pay transaction fees as applicable to your country and account.  If you wish to use Sentinel with your existing bank merchant account we will charge you an additional transaction fee for the risk assessment and gateway services.  We will be happy to discuss this transaction pricing, which will be based on your current volumes, product categories and average sale price and fraud loss rates to ensure you will save money overall.

  • Will we still have to deal with our bank on chargebacks and refunds?

We can offer you a proposal that includes all your back office functions so that we take care of all bank liaison on your behalf, so you can focus on frontline sales.
