Start Selling on eBay

Are you looking for a cost-effective payment method for eBay sales that lets you accept credit card payments and credits the money directly into your bank account, usually overnight?

If so, here are easy steps to creating a Paymate account and adding it to your eBay.com.au listings:

  1. Start by creating a Paymate account and add a bank account to it.
  2. Once you have a Paymate account, you need to link it to your eBay account. See our step by step guide below.

Step One

Log in to Paymate. Go to the Services tab, follow the prompts, type in your eBay seller ID and click on "start authorisation".

You will be redirected to an eBay page where you are required to sign in to your eBay account.

On the authorisation page you simply need to "agree" to your eBay account to be linked to your Paymate account. You will then be redirected to the services tab on the Paymate website where your status should show as "active", and your eBay details updated.

Congratulations, your eBay account is now linked to your Paymate account, and you can start accepting Paymate payments on eBay.com.au.

Step Two

Now, you need to select Paymate as a payment option when you create a listing on eBay.com.au.

Paymate is available by default in the "Decide how you'd like to be paid" section of the eBay selling flow. Simply tick the Paymate tick box to accept Credit Card payments via Paymate.

Note: If the Paymate tick box appears greyed out, you need to do the authorisation process. If doing so does not fix the problem, please contact us.

And you’re good to go. Remember that our standard rate is only 2.475% + $0.55 (incl. GST) per transaction for accepting credit card payments
